Step 2: Decide how you are going to gather those facts

The next step is deciding how you are going to gather those facts. Will you use Google? Go to the library? Ask a friend? Once you’ve decided how you will get your information, it’s time to start gathering those facts!

Step 3: Start your research with the right keywords

When you’re looking for information online, it’s important to start with the right keywords. Otherwise, you’ll end up wading through a lot of irrelevant results. So how do you choose the right keywords? To figure this out, start by listing all the questions you have about your topic and come up with some synonyms for those words. Next, take each question and make sure that there are enough results to answer it before adding it to your list. Then ask yourself if any synonyms could be used in place of any other synonyms without changing the meaning. Finally, use one keyword or set of keywords as your search term and hit enter!

Step 4: Know when enough is enough

At some point, you have to stop researching and make a decision. How do you know when you have enough information? One way is to set a time limit. For example, give yourself two hours to research a topic. Once the time is up, it’s time to make a decision.
